Material Document Cancellation
You
use this function to cancel a
material document
that you created from one or more entry documents by using the post,
clear, or order & clear
function to post or clear the waste quantities in the entry documents to
inventory
management and, if required, to
Warehouse
Management.
The entry documents for which you want to cancel the material documents created have been posted or cleared.
The
relevant posting (post or clear) is canceled. This means that a reversal
document with a reference to the corresponding material document is created
(see
Cancelling a Material
Document). Depending on the posting, this means the
following:
·
If you cancel
the material document for a posted entry document, the posting to
inventory management and, if required, to
Warehouse
Management is canceled. You can then change the entry document
again, in other words, the fields for the waste quantity, the storage location,
and the
plant for the
storage location are again ready for input.
You can then post
the entry document again too.
· If you cancel the material document for a cleared entry document, the clearing from inventory management and, if required, from Warehouse Management is canceled. The waste quantity is then available again in these places.
A follow-on document record is created (see Automatic Creation of Follow-On Document Records). This means that the follow-on document table is extended to include the reversal document. In addition, the canceled material document is assigned the deletion indicator.
You cannot cancel changed postings and storage bin transfers with this function.

You can cancel a changed posting or
storage bin
transfer simply by executing another changed posting or stock transfer and
entering the original data (storage location, plant for the storage location,
and storage bin if required).
The entry documents are given a defined status that depends on the settings you made in Customizing. They must have a particular status so that you can execute this function. For more information, see Setting Entry Document Statuses.
Proceed as follows if you want to cancel the material documents created for one or more entry documents:
...
1. Choose Disposal Processing ® Edit Entry Documents in the Waste Management menu.
The Choose Entry Document Category dialog box appears.

This dialog box only appears the first time you access disposal processing after you have logged on to the SAP System. The next time you access disposal processing, the system automatically uses the entry document category that you chose last time.
If you mainly display and edit entry documents of one entry document category, you can predefine this entry document category in your user profile.
2. Choose the entry document category of the entry documents whose material documents you want to cancel and confirm your entry.
The Disposal Processing Change screen appears.
3.
Enter the
search criteria for the entry documents (see Searching for Entry
Documents), and choose
with the quick info Hit
List.
The entry documents that correspond to the search criteria are displayed under Doc. overview.

When you search for entry documents, entry documents
with the system status Closed are not displayed as standard in
the search result. Set the Completed indicator under
with the quick info Information in the
Selection screen area so that closed entry documents are also displayed
in the search result. Alternatively, under
with the
quick info Multiple selection you can enter I8902 as a search criterion in the
Entry doc. status field. The search result then only contains
closed entry documents.
4. Select the entry documents and choose one of the following paths:
¡ Choose Edit ® Cancel Post, if you want to cancel an entry document that has been posted.
¡ Choose Edit ® Cancel Clear, if you want to cancel an entry document that has been cleared.
