By creating waste generations, waste disposals, and waste transports, you can document which wastes are generated by which waste generators and which wastes can be disposed of or transported by which waste disposers and waste transporters, respectively.
The data in waste generations, waste disposals, and waste transports is automatically transferred to some places in Waste Management and used for checks. You can therefore, for example, enter a storage location for the waste for a waste generation. This storage location is then automatically proposed in the SAP Disposal Processing component when you create an entry document and enter the waste generation.
In Customizing for Waste Management, you can specify that a warning is displayed if you assign a combination of waste and waste generator, waste and waste disposer, or waste and waste transporter for which no waste generation, waste disposal, or waste transport has been created, to a disposal document. For more information, see the documentation for the IMG activity Specify Disposal Document Types.
