This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

By choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text multiple selection, you can carry out a periodic posting for several company codes as well as several accounting principles and accrual types at once. To do so, you can enter several single values or ranges.

       3.      Enter the contract numbers. You can also enter several single values or ranges.

Posting Parameters

       4.      Enter the key date for which the accrual run is to be carried out.

This parameter is a required entry.

Control Data

       5.      Choose the control parameters.

Execution Type:
You can use the input help to choose between
Normal (N), Unscheduled (E), and Repeat (R).

¡        Normal (N): You perform a regular posting run. This parameter is set by default.

¡        Repeat (R): A repeat run is necessary if some of the contracts were not processed successfully during the normal run.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

You have already carried out a periodic accrual run for the key date with normal execution type.
Errors occurred while the accrual values were being calculated for some of the contracts.
After correcting these errors, you restart the periodic accrual run with the repeat execution type.

¡

¡        Unscheduled (E): The periodic accrual runs usually have to be carried out for the key dates stipulated by the posting control frequency in the Accrual Engine. The accrual runs have to be carried out for all of these key dates. The key dates also have to be processed in ascending order.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

You have chosen monthly as the frequency. For this reason, periodic accrual runs in 2003 are only possible for the key dates

01/31/03

02/28/03

03/31/03

and so on.

You have carried out a posting run for the key date 01/31/03 with normal execution type. This means that the next run should be carried out for the key date 02/28/03. If you want to skip this key date, however, and carry out the next run for the key date 03/31/03, you have to choose the unscheduled run type.
