Adjustment of Shipper
Responsibility Differences
When you have selected Shipper Responsibility as the cause of a stock transport order quantity difference, the system automatically reconciles the difference (the “delta” quantity). You can choose either Previous Facility or Source Facility as the warehouse responsible for the difference. The system then sends the delta quantity to the corresponding warehouse.
· All the warehouses involved use the ERP and SAP EWM systems
· You have selected Shipper Responsibility as the cause of the quantity difference

...
1. The system sends the delta to the Proof of Delivery (POD), a temporary dummy storage location. For more information, see Adjustment of Stock Transport Order Quantity Differences. (Step A in the above figure.)
2. The system creates an inbound or outbound delivery.

For an underdelivery, the system creates an inbound delivery for storage location 0001 from the sending storage location POD. For an over delivery, the system creates an outbound delivery from storage location 0001 to the receiving location POD.
3. The system sends the delta to Pending Claims Quantity (PCQ), outbound or inbound, in the sending warehouse by sending the created delivery. In the ERP system, the pending claims are included in the storage location from which the initial outbound delivery was posted (Step B in the above figure).
4. The receiver in the warehouse can either accept or reject the delta contained in the correction delivery.

If the delta is rejected, it stays in the POD storage location and you must reconcile the POD location manually in the ERP system.
5. SAP EWM adjusts the stock in the sending warehouse either automatically or after a manual count.
6. The system posts differences from the POD storage location to the original storage location 0001 (Step C in the above figure).
