Using Default Text Patterns 

For text patterns that are not filled in the dangerous goods master, you can use a default text pattern. This means you do not need to enter text patterns for all materials in the dangerous goods master.

Procedure

...

       1.      Decide which phrase you want to use as the default text pattern.

       2.      Enter the phrase in the environment parameter DG_PAPER_DEFAULT_TEXTPATTERN.

Enter the phrase in the form CCCC-PPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. CCCC here stands for the phrase library and PPPPPPPPPPPPPP for the phrase key.

       3.      Edit the IMG activity Specify Output Conditions and Formatting Methods in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management. Make the following entries:

¡        Field name: PTXTPATT

¡        Function module: DG50_GETSYMB_DEFAULT_TEXTPATT

When printing delivery notes, the function module uses the default text pattern you selected, as long as no other text pattern is specified in the dangerous goods master.

If you want to determine your default text pattern according to a different logic, copy the function module DG50_GETSYMB_DEFAULT_TEXTPATT and change it. Enter the name of the modified function module in Customizing.
