The following process flow is an example of a typical process in the SAP disposal documents component. It may not be necessary to carry out all the steps in your enterprise. For example, the disposal document does not of course need to be printed if waste transporters or waste disposers bring the disposal document with them when they collect the waste. Furthermore, you can also create and print a disposal document from the SAP disposal processing component (see Creation of a Disposal Document). You then only need to monitor the return leg of the disposal document in the SAP disposal documents component.
...
1. You create the disposal document and enter, for example, the following data (see Editing Disposal Documents):
¡ Waste approval on the basis of which the disposal document is created (see Assigning Waste Approvals)
¡ Waste management business partners involved (waste generator, waste transporter, waste disposer, temporary storage facility; see Assigning Waste Management Business Partners)
¡ Waste code and waste for which the disposal document is created (see Assigning Waste Codes or Assigning Waste)
2. Shortly before the waste is collected, add the following data, for example, to the disposal document (see Editing Disposal Documents):
¡ Outgoing quantity, in other words the waste quantity determined by weighing the waste when it left the plant
¡ Takeover date, in other words the date on which the disposal document was passed on to the waste transporter
3. You print the disposal document.
4. You monitor the return of the disposal document by checking the return date.
5. You add the following data, for example, to the disposal document after a copy of it has been returned by the waste disposer:
¡ Waste quantity disposed of, in other words the quantity of the waste that has been disposed of and confirmed by the waste disposer
¡ Acceptance date, in other words the date on which the waste disposer accepted the disposal document
6. You set the appropriate disposal document status, for example, the status ARCH (Stored).
You can use the data in the disposal documents to create waste life-cycle analyses, for example, in the SAP reporting component.
