CIIU Code 

Definition

An activity classification code (clasificación industrial internacional uniforme), published by Colombia's statistical office, DANE. For example:

·        15302 Processing milk beverages

·        1562 Threshing coffee

·        1563 Roasting and milling coffee

Tax returns must show the CIIU codes of each business transaction that you withheld taxes on.

Define the CIIU codes in Customizing for Financial Accounting (FI), by choosing Financial Accounting Global Settings ® Withholding Tax ® Extended Withholding Tax ® Calculation ® Colombia ® ….

Day-to-Day Activities

When a clerk enters a vendor item with a withholding tax code, the system automatically assigns the appropriate CIIU code to the line item.

Reporting

When an accountant prepares a withholding tax return, it automatically shows the CIIU codes.
