Distribution Packet

Use

When you start distribution, the system automatically creates a distribution packet for each recipient and distribution type. Each distribution packet is identified by an internal key.

Integration

The functionality of the distribution packet is based on document distribution.

Features

When you start distribution, the system starts workflow WS 20000104, in which a subworkflow is started for each distribution packet.

If the recipient:

Is a user, the standard functionality of document distribution is used. The document is sent to the recipients immediately.

Is a logical system, the system creates an ALE distribution unit. This is identified by the same internal number as the distribution packet from which it was created. Distribution to each logical system is controlled by the ALE distribution unit.

Activities

Displaying the Log

In the left-hand screen area, from the context menu of the distribution packet (), you can display a log where the individual processing steps of the distribution process are listed.

Detail Information on the Distribution Packet

By double-clicking on the distribution packet (), you can display the following detail data for the distribution packet.

Packets of ALE distribution with status, partner, direction, and packet type
Object list

You see an overview of the objects to be imported. You can add to this list as required.

Header data such as administrative data, import objects, and predecessors

You can add new objects.

If you have scheduled background jobs, you can display them here and delete them if required.
