Object documentation Disposal Channel Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Definition

Combination of waste generation and waste disposal, the waste generation and waste disposal having to contain the same waste.

Use

In a disposal channel, you specify that a waste disposer can dispose of a particular waste that has been generated by a particular waste generator.

Integration

The data in disposal channels is automatically transferred to some places in Waste Management and used for checks:

·        If you assign a waste disposer to an entry document in the SAP disposal processing component and choose the input help (Hierarchical) Search for Disposers from Disposal Channels, the system proposes only the waste disposers from the disposal channels that contain the waste generator and waste from the entry document. If no such disposal channel exists, the system proposes the waste disposers from the disposal channels for the higher-level waste generators, provided that these disposal channels contain the waste from the entry document (see Higher-Level Waste Management Business Partner).

Note

You can display the disposal channels for the higher-level waste generators or waste disposers from the screen on which you edit the data for the disposal channels for a waste generator or waste disposer (see Editing Disposal Channels).

·        The system automatically uses a purchasing document of category K (Structure linkcontract), which you entered for a disposal channel, under certain conditions when you create a purchase order from the SAP disposal processing component (see Determination of a Valid Contract from the Master Data).

·        In Customizing for Waste Management, you can specify that a warning is displayed if you assign a disposal document a combination of a waste, waste generator, and waste disposer for which no disposal channel has been created. For more information, see the documentation for the IMG activity Specify Disposal Document Types.
