Process documentation Preparation of Tax Declarations Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

We recommend that to prepare a property tax declaration, you follow the process described below.

The process only describes the basic procedure for preparing a tax declaration (running a test, correcting the data if necessary, executing an update run). It applies regardless of whether you use additional depreciation. If you do work with additional depreciation, see also Preparation of Declarations with Additional Depreciation.

Process Flow

...

       1.      You execute the Property Tax Report in test mode:

...

                            a.      You process any messages in the application log.

                            b.      You check whether the asset values shown in the output list are correct. If you need to adjust last year’s tax book amounts and tax evaluation amounts, you can do so as described under Changes to Last Year’s Book Values and Evaluation Amounts.

       2.      When you are satisfied with the asset values, you execute the report in update mode.

Depending on the amount of data, you can select No Output or you can display the list directly.

       3.      If you selected No Output, you can display the list by selecting Display Latest Data and specifying which layout you want to see the list in.

       4.      If you have created your own custom layout, you print out the tax declaration. To do so, you access the report once more, select Display Latest Data, and enter the custom layout.
