Structure of a Standard Objective Setting
Template 
The SAP Performance Feedback template is composed of the following:
In the SAP standard delivery, two part appraisers are set as default in the template.
After the objective setting template has been created, the header data (name of template, status, name of manager, and name of employee) is displayed.
You can expand the Additional Data for Employees field. This field contains the employee’s organizational assignment.
You can also expand the <Number of>Part Appraisers group box. The Name and the Role of the part appraiser is displayed in this group box.
The Expert Mode link allows you to display the part appraisers in expert mode:
The Validity Period field displays the period, specified when the objective setting template was created, during which the appraisal cycle should be performed according to plan.
The Objective Setting Date and
Review Date fields are input fields. Both fields contains default
values that you can overwrite.
If you enter an alternative date in the Review Date field, the part
appraisers are informed by workflow that they are requested to process the
template by the specified date.
Pushbuttons
The pushbuttons shown on the browser interface have the following functions:

Add Objectives |
Shows the fields set up in Customizing for objectives, note functions, and weighting. This pushbutton is only available if the objective setting template has not yet been edited. After the pushbutton has been clicked once and the fields are shown, the pushbuttons Review and Complete are shown instead. |

Review |
The entries are saved and the document receives the status In Review. The appraisal template is available for editing. You can still change the objectives. |

Start Appraisal Process |
The entries are adopted. The objective setting template is saved and receives the status In Part Process. It is available for part appraisers. |
|
Action Log |
Calls the task log. This log displays all processes through which the appraisal document runs (create, display, change, status change, and so on). |

Save |
Your entries are saved. The status of the appraisal template remains the same. |
|
End |
Ends preparation. The data is not saved and the application is exited. The current status is retained. |
|
Complete |
Adopts entries. The objectives, weightings, and so on you have entered are adopted. The appraisal template is saved. The status is changed to Appraisal Document Completed. |

Display Qualifications |
Calls the qualifications catalog. Prerequisite: integration with themySAP HR Personnel Development component. |

Display Scorecard |
Displays the Balanced Scorecard. Prerequisite: integration with the mySAP SEM component. |

Prints the objective setting template. |
Icons
The Add
Objectives or Delete Objectives icons are located between the
Performance Objective Setting and Weighting columns.
If you click on these icons, you can add additional placeholders for
objectives and fill these with objectives or delete existing placeholders or
entire elements such as criteria groups with subordinate objectives.
Note that the descriptions are only valid for SAP standard settings in the
example template Performance Feedback. The pushbutton functions can be
changed according to the Customizing settings.
