Definition
Contains transaction figures and documents showing the changes in the values and quantities resulting from accounting transactions.
Use
The currency of the ledger determines the currency in which the consolidation groups carried in the ledger report their financial data. This is therefore the consolidation group currency.
If you want to consolidate in different currencies, you need a separate ledger for each currency.
The following graphic illustrates this:

Structure
The structure of the ledger is determined by the totals table ECMCT.
You assign a ledger to each consolidation group in the master record of the consolidation group. The system saves the assignment in a specific ledger version. This means that you can assign different ledgers, and therefore different consolidation group currencies, to a consolidation group in different consolidation versions.
