Creating Production Versions with Reference Creating Production Versions with Reference
When you create a material master record by referencing an existing one, the system proposes the reference material's production version data from the relevant plant.
To copy data into the new master record, select Production versions from an MRP or Work Scheduling data screen.
The production version overview is displayed.
You can overwrite this data here.
Note that this only applies if the appropriate settings have been made in Customizing for the Material Master, under Assign Fields to Field Groups. The standard SAP material master is set up in this way.
