Returns Delivery Updates 

Use

Returns deliveries are updated in the following circumstances:

●     Receipt of the final shipping notification changes from the customer

An example is when the returns shipping notification splits from the original delivery. A split can occur because the customer may accept only part of the approved items in one step.

●     Goods receipt processing in the warehouse (applies to the consolidator portal as well)

This update incorporates the partial goods receipt of returns deliveries, the posting of possible quantity and material differences and the cancellation of goods receipts. Warehouse management refuses the receipt of a return after a rough inspection.

The confirmed returns delivery quantities are set to “0”, which forces a delivery closure. A specific status is set.

Delivery updates result in the update of the returns material authorization (RMA) number in SAP CRM.
