Procedure documentation Retrieving an Output Value Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

In the SAPGUI command interface, you retrieve output values from the State nodes underneath the InitialState nodes. A blue arrow pointing away from an attribute name under a State node denotes a GET parameter. This allows you to read, but not set, the contents of fields on screens.

Rather than use the SAPGUI command to retrieve field values, it is normally easier to use the GETGUI command.

Prerequisites

You have recorded the initial state of the screen element.

Procedure

       1.      In the structure editor, expand the relevant InitialState node to display the State node.

       2.      Double-click the blue arrow beside the attribute.

A grid is displayed on the right.

       3.      Enter a parameter in the Value row.

Do not edit the Name row.
