Use

By personalizing the start views of your Web applications, you can store the navigational state you created in a Web application as a personal, permanent start view for this Web application.

Prerequisites

...

       1.      You have activated the personalization of Web applications in Customizing (Implementation Guide (IMG) ® SAP Reference IMG ® SAP Customizing Implementation Guide ® SAP NetWeaver  ® Business Intelligence® Reporting-Relevant Settings ® General Reporting Settings ® Activate Personalization in BEx ®  Personalize Web Applications).

       2.      You are in the Web Application Designer and have called up an existing Web template or are creating a new Web template.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the Web Application Designer, in the Properties: <Template Name> window, choose the Web template you want to use from the dropdown box.

       2.      Choose the Web Item tab page.

       3.      Under the heading Entries in the Context Menu, choose the entry Personalize Web Page.

       4.      Choose Always Display or Enhanced Menu from the dropdown box of the value column of the Personalize Web Page entry.

If you choose Always Display, the Personalize Web Page entry is displayed in the basic context menu of the Web application.

If you choose Enhanced Menu, the Personalize Web Page entry is displayed only in the enhanced context menu of the Web application.

       5.      Once you have created or changed your Web template, launch the corresponding Web application on the Web. For more information about creating Web applications, see Creating Web Applications with the BEx Web Application Designer.

       6.      In your Web application, once you have reached a navigational state that you want to personalize, open the basic or the enhanced context menu (left mouse click on the data value, or on the characteristic value, and so on) and choose the Personalize Web Page option.

The system saves the current user-specific navigational state as a start view for the Web application. When you call up the Web application at a later date, the personalized navigational state that you saved is displayed as the start view.

       7.      To un-personalize the start view, open the basic or the enhanced context menu, and choose the Delete Personalization option.
