Defining a Third-Party Software Component 

Procedure

       1.      On the initial screen of the SAP System Landscape Directory, choose Software ® Software Catalog.

       2.      Under Software Type, select Software Components.

       3.      Choose New Component.

       4.      Select the product for which you want to define a third-party software component.

       5.      Enter the vendor, name, and version of the software component.

       6.      Choose Create.

You have now defined a software component and linked it to the product you defined previously (see Defining Third-Party Software).
