Creating Work Schedules 

Use

You can use the Create Work Schedule function (transaction PT01) to create individual work schedules for a particular period.

The function is not intended for mass generation of work schedules. Instead, you can use the RPTSHF00 report (Generate Work Schedules).

Prerequisites

You have created the required work schedule rules in Customizing.

Features

·        When creating work schedules, the system automatically generates the work schedules for the specified period on the basis of the information in the system settings.

When creating a new work schedule, the system overwrites work schedules that have already been created and changed. Changes that you have made manually are therefore lost. Before creating a work schedule, check that there are no important changes that might be lost.

·        The following functions are available when you create a work schedule:

¡        Create: You can use this function to create a work schedule month for month in the specified period. If required, you can adjust the displayed work schedules in line with changed planning data, and change the daily work schedules, holiday class, or day type on a day.

¡        Create All: Using this function, the system creates all work schedules for the specified period, without calling up the individual months.

·        The following views are available to create work schedules:

¡        Display using a calendar

¡        Display using an ALV list

The system reacts differently depending on the view you choose:

Processing Using the Calendar

If you use the Create function, you can call up all months within the specified period sequentially. The system creates all months that you save in the relevant monthly overview. You can skip individual months by choosing Next Month or Previous Month.

Processing Using the ALV List

If you use the Create function, you can call up all months within the specified period sequentially. When you save, the system creates all the months that you displayed.
