Use

The Goto function in the context menu allows you to jump to targets using the report-report interface.

Prerequisites

You have to define the sender/receiver assignment in advance, so that the system offers targets for the report-report interface in the context menu under Goto. For more information, see Structure linkEditing Sender-Receiver Assignments for the RRI in the BI System.

Features

The report-report interface (RRI) allows you call programs from other programs using parameters. You can use it to jump from one report to another report that delivers more information. In the BI system, you can reach targets within and outside of the BI system. You can jump to the connected ERP system connected or to another SAP system (as of Service API Release 6.10).

Note

If you want to use the RRI in the ERP system you have to maintain the table TWPURLSVR in the source system. This process is part of the ITS installation.

Depending on the report type you selected for a query in the sender-receiver assignment, you have the following possible targets under Goto in the Web application for which this query is a data provider:

·        Start another query or additional Web applications, where the entry variants are filled by the selection conditions and element definitions of the selected cells of the sender query.

·        Start Web-capable reports, functions, and transactions inside and outside of the BI system.

Note

The SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS) and the SAP GUI for HTML are required for all SAP systems in which you want to call transactions, so that the transaction is Web-enabled. In SAP systems that are based on SAP Web AS as of release 6.40, you do not need a separate installation of the SAP ITS because this is a component of the SAP Web AS.
