Installing and Running the Online Log

A Log Viewer server is installed and operational with the installation of the SAP Web AS Java.

1. Start the Visual Administrator (VA). The VA is started from the J2EE administrator directory (for example: \usr\sap\C11\JC00\j2ee\admin\go.bat) with the go script.
2. Log on to the Visual Administrator. To log on you need to know the P4 Port. For more information about the port numbers, see J2EE Engine Ports.
3. After you log on you can open any node (dispatcher or any server) and go to Services/Logviewer. The Log Viewer will display all the logs registered at that server.
