Background documentation Functions of the RE Navigator Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

The following gives you information on the functions available in the RE Navigator, when processing real estate contracts, in master data for service charge settlement, and in both the usage view and architectural view.

Display previous/next object.

Create a new object by choosing this icon. If similar objects, such as buildings, already exist in the system, you can create new objects using an existing one as a template. Select an object as template, change the data as required, and save your new object.

NoteBefore creating certain objects, such as rental objects, you first have to select the object type and, depending on the Customizing settings, the usage type.

You can switch back and forth between change and display modes. You stay on the current screen.

You can go directly to processing another object.

Errors can occur when you process objects. Unlike Classic RE, in Flexible Real Estate Management, the system does not require you to correct the error immediately. The system writes the error to a log and issues an error message. You can call the Error List and correct any errors by choosing this icon.

When you have processed an object, you can refresh the display in the navigation area by choosing this icon.

Displays all time-dependent changes to master and transaction data that you want to see (see the Structure linkChange Document Tool of the Financial Services component).

Depending on your settings in Customizing, you can navigate to document management or to SAP Records Management.

You can display the print preview (Office Application).

Print function (Correspondence Using Smart Forms)

You can go to the SAP Smart Forms correspondence application for the real estate object.

Print function (Office Application - Correspondence).

You can go to the correspondence application for the real estate object using an office document. In Microsoft ® Word, you modify the document to suit your needs.

If you selected a certain Real Estate object in the navigation area (such as rental space 0001/1111/5), you can choose this icon to display the superordinate object plus its details (such as pooled space 0001/1111/1).

All objects that were processed during a call of the RE Navigator can be displayed in the object stack. By double-clicking on an object in the list, you can go directly to processing of the object.

You can display or hide the navigation area by choosing this icon.

You can display or hide the information text of the initial screen by choosing this icon. You do not actually leave processing of the object when you display the information text.

By choosing this icon, you can:

a)       Hide the navigation area

b)       Save the size of the detail view, which you can set with the This graphic is explained in the accompanying textThis graphic is explained in the accompanying textThis graphic is explained in the accompanying textThis graphic is explained in the accompanying text icons

To display the navigation area again, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Menu ® Edit ® Function

 

Special functions for the contract:

  • Activate or deactivate
  • Set or reset lock (master data, account assignment, users)
  • Set or remove deletion flag

For example, you can store a business document for a master data object (only applies to an office document, not Smart Forms), display a list of attachments, send an object with a note, display a workflow (overview, start, archived workflows and so on), specify an external document (URL), and so on.

Note

To display a URL for an object, you first have to have assigned the Internet option to the object type (for example, contract) in Customizing by choosing:

In Customizing, you can specify that certain rental object conditions are to be transferred to the contract. You can then call up these conditions in the contract using the Default Conditions icon.
