Writing Off Irrecoverable Debt 
You can use this function to write off a customer’s open items when you consider them to be irrecoverable.
You made all the necessary settings in Customizing (see Tenant Account).
There are open items on a customer contract.

You are processing a contract and are in the Tenant Account overview on the Overviews tab page.
1. Select one or more open items. If you select more than one open item, the total amount of all the items is written off.

Choose
Irrecoverable Deb with the quick info text
Irrecoverable Debt.
The Document Overview: Write-Off dialog box appears.
3. Enter all necessary data in the document header and choose the type of write-off in the Document Type field (such as, G/L account posting).
4. Save your entries.
You receive a message that the document was posted. The system wrote off the item on the account that was determined. The selected open item or items are cleared.
