Mapping Users: User Enters Own
Data
This iView allows users to enter their personal logon credentials for all component systems in which they have a user account.
·
You have set up a
corporate LDAP directory server or other repository that stores user data for
all portal users. You have configured the location of this repository as
described in
Defining Location of Central User Data
Repository.
·
Typically, user mapping
data is stored on the portal LDAP directory server. You have configured where
this data is stored as described in
Defining Location of User Mapping
Data.
·
You have defined the
system landscape as described in
Defining the System
Landscape.
· You have defined any unifier projects as portal data sources.
...
1. Start the user mapping iView in the portal user role by choosing Personalize ® Portal in the top right corner of the portal.
2. Choose the User Mapping tab.
3. In the Data Source field, select the component system or data source for which you wish to map your data.
Remember that if you are using Single Sign-On using SAP logon tickets to several SAP Systems, you only need to map to one leading SAP System.
The input fields for this system are displayed. Which input fields appear, depends on information from the system landscape definition.
A data source appears in the
Data Source field only when its
properties necessitate user mapping. A data source requires user mapping if
its authentication method is not set to Anonymous/SSO and the authorization level is
set to Administrator or Administrator & User. For information on
defining these parameters, see
Data Source Parameters.
4. Enter your user credentials for the system you have selected.
Note that if you require the user ID only for Single Sign-On with SAP logon tickets, you must still enter the password to validate the user ID you have entered.
5. Save your entries.
