Displaying and Editing Plan Payment Details
You can use this function to display a list of the plan payment details for a plan, and you can use this list to display and then change or delete a single plan payment detail, display the last returnable plan payment detail, and return excess contributions.
A plan must already exist, and payments must already be made via this plan. If the plan already exists but payments were not yet made via this plan, the system outputs an empty list, and you cannot execute any additional functions.
Scope of Functions
Displaying the List of Plan Payment Details for a Plan
You receive this list if you select Master Contract Management ® Payment Distribution and Monitoring ® Display and Edit Payment Details from the SAP Easy Access screen and enter the plan number. You can use the posting date and the tax year to restrict the plan payment details to be displayed even further.
The system also displays the market value of the plan in this list.
This list enables you to access all the other functions.
Displaying Single Plan Payment Details
In the List of Plan Payment Details for Plan, you can select a plan payment detail and display all the data of the plan payment detail via Display PDM Detail. The system displays the plan payment detail on the screen Display Plan Payment Detail with the tab pages Basic Data, Distribution Data, Reference and Administrative Data. Depending on the status of the displayed plan payment details, you can use buttons to change or reverse the detail. You can display the relevant plan regardless of the status.
In the Plan Payment Detail List for Plan, you can use the Details button to display a compact list of all existing values for this plan payment detail in a dialog box.
Changing Plan Payment Details
This function is available if you choose the PDM Detail button for a plan payment detail with the Created status on the Display Plan Payment Detail screen. You can change the contribution type and tax year or disbursement type and indicator No Tax Deduction, net amount/gross amount and distribution information.
Note that you may need to adjust the distribution information.
The system recalculates the gross or net amount and checks the new plan payment detail based on the monitoring rules. If all checks are successful, the system reverses the original plan payment detail and the payment distribution, and redistributes the contribution/disbursement in the plan according to the new plan payment detail. If the new plan payment detail is liable for tax, the system reverses any tax postings already entered for the original plan payment detail, and replaces these with new tax postings.
Reversing Plan Payment Details
This function is available if you choose the PDM Detail button for a plan payment detail with the Created status on the Display Plan Payment Detail screen and answer the security check with YES. The system generates a reversal plan payment detail.
Determining Last Returnable Contributions
This function is available if you choose the Display Last Returnable Detail button on the Display Plan Payment Detail screen. The system calculates the possible disbursement amount based on the current market value and the market value of the plan before the deposit of the returnable amount. Employee-sponsored contributions, for example, are not returnable. If the system determines a returnable contribution, you can create a directive for the return. You need to specify the Disbursement Reason in this directive. In addition, you can set the No Tax indicator and change the distribution information.
Returning Excess Contributions
This function is available if you choose the Return Excess Contribution button on the Display Plan Payment Detail screen. The system uses the LIFO principle to find all the returnable plan payment details that are required for the disbursement of an excess contribution amount. The system first displays the contributions that were created last. In addition, it displays the excess contribution amount, the market value of the plan, the total of the contributions (including profits and losses) as well as the two totals individually.
Note that you can return the plan payment details in full only, not in partial amounts. The system does not support the repayment of partial amounts. To reach the excess contribution amount, you need to return all contributions determined by the system in full.
