In certain application cases it can be appropriate to make use of the same tools used in the context of development. This section provides you with access to the corresponding documentation that generally presupposes special knowledge.
The tools described here help you with
· Designing your correspondence
· Data transfer from external systems and source systems
· Designing interfaces with the Business Data Toolset (BDT)
· Change documents
· Maintaining a release workflow
· Data transfer
During data transfer, data from external or previous/feeder systems is automatically transferred into the system. Master data, for example, can be transferred from another system.
For general documentation about external data transfer, see External Data Transfer. The menu paths specified there do not apply for Account Management (FS AM). To start data transfer, in the Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM), choose Tools ® External Data Transfer with Direct Input.
· BDT development
We used the Business Data Toolset (BDT to design the product, account and business partner, for example. You have the option of making modifications using the same tool. You can use this to maintain the interface for business partners, business partner relationships, account and product. You can create your own fields, individually arrange existing fields and adapt the screen sequence to suit your requirements.
· Correspondence tool
In the Account Management system you use the correspondence tool together with the print workbench to create all the correspondence that arises. As user you will generally not need the documentation. The required data is preset.
See Correspondence Landscape in the Account Management System
· Change document tool
You use the change document tool in the Account Management system for creating and processing change documents. As user you will generally not need the documentation. The required data is preset.
· Framework for the principle of dual control
You use the Framework for the Principle of Dual Control for defining release processes in the Account Management system.
See Framework for the Principle of Dual Control (CA-GTF-TS-PDC)
· Parallel processing of mass data
In the Account Management system you use parallel processing of mass data to divide the volume of objects to be processed into work packages, process the work packages in parallel background jobs and to generate and synchronize the background jobs with a job control function. As user you will usually not need the general documentation. For the special documentation, choose Periodic Tasks, Process Flow of End of Day Processing.
