Process documentation Transportation Execution  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

You can use this process to create a shipment, print required shipment documents, and set statuses, in particular Shipment end.

       1.      Create shipment (SAP ECC)

An outbound shipment is created on the basis of an existing outbound delivery. The appropriate stages are created. For more information, see the SAP Library under SAP R/3 Enterprise ® Logistics ® Logistics Execution (LE) ® Transportation (LE-TRA) ® Transportation Planning ® Creating Shipments.

       2.      Assign deliveries to shipment (SAP ECC)

You add or modify information about the forwarding agent, shipping type, and shipping condition.        3.      Set planning status (SAP ECC)

       4.      Re-determine stages for shipment (SAP ECC)

       5.      Close shipment (SAP ECC)

       6.      Track and evaluate transportation process with SCEM (optional) (SAP SCM)

You can use SAP EM to monitor and then evaluate the individual process steps. Information from various application areas can be brought together easily and business partner data can also be incorporated. If delays or unexpected events occur, the correct contact partners can be informed immediately.
