Process documentation Replication of Customizing Objects  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

Before you can start the replication of business objects such as business partners, products, or conditions, you need to download the necessary configuration and Customizing settings to the CRM system.

In general, it is necessary to distinguish between the initial download from the ERP system to the CRM server and the initial load between the CRM server and the Consolidated Database (CDB), which is used for distribution to mobile clients. Both processes use different Customizing objects as well as application objects. While there is an existing delta load of Customizing objects between the CRM server and CDB, a similar process between the ERP system and CRM server is not implemented. Therefore, you need to restart an initial download of Customizing objects in order to update Customizing settings from the ERP system to the CRM server.

The Customizing objects available in the system are stored in the table SMOFOBJECT. The object processes defined for these objects are stored in the table SMOFINICON.

Prerequisites

Before you can start the Customizing replication, you need to verify that entries for the ISO codes are unique in the following tables:

Table / Field name

Description

T002 / LAISO

Language keys

TCURC / ISOCD

Currency codes

T005 / INTCA

Countries

Note

Although SAP delivers these tables in a consistent state, duplicate ISO entries can occur because this is not a key field in those tables (especially if customer-defined entries have been set up with copy functions).

For more information, see Checking ISO Codes.

Procedure

Start the initial replication process for a least one Customizing object using transaction R3AS in the CRM system. Within the transaction R3AS choose Multiple Selection to specify which application objects you want to download. You can monitor the transfer of objects using the transaction R3AM1.
