You use this function in target group processing to trigger follow-up processing for your target groups. No reference to a campaign is needed for this follow-up processing. Follow-up processing without a campaign reference is mainly used if additional analysis and reporting functions are not required (such as when sending birthday mails or information letters). It combines a range of functions that enable you to use your target groups quickly and easily.
The following options are available for follow-up processing of target groups:
Export target group to file
Export target group to channel
Create business transactions
To be able to export the data of the business partners in the target group to a file, the following prerequisite must be met:
You have specified a file path in Customizing for SAP Web Application Server under
.To be able to contact your target group via the channel Internet Mail
, the following prerequisite must be met:
You have maintained a sender address or specified a certain business partner as the sender in Customizing. You can find the corresponding Customizing activity in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under
.You use this function to export the business partner data for target group members to a file, so that you can process this data further at a later date, or simply for storage purposes.
You can specify which business partner fields are to be found in the export file. Define the fields you require in the BAdI: CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEM_EX.
If you have not imported the business function High-Volume Marketing and want to store the file locally, you can choose any file name here. If you have imported the business function or want to store the file on the application server, the following applies:
The file name is generated automatically and cannot be changed.
The file is saved in the logical file path MARKETING_FILES
, which you define in Customizing (see Prerequisites
). The data is written to two files: A data file that contains the actual data, and a meta file that contains the description of the data (for example, field types and field descriptions). In the standard system, MARKETING_FILES
refers to the DIR_GLOBAL
directory (transaction AL11
). There is no restriction on the number of business partners.
With this function, you can send your target groups directly to the desired channel (e-mail, fax, SMS), without going via a campaign.
In the Address
field, enter the business partner whose name is to appear as the sender's address in personalized e-mails. For the communication channels fax and SMS, the address for this business partner will then always be used as the sender's address. For e-mails, you also have the option of using an e-mail address defined in Customizing.
Depending on which channel is used to contact the business partners, you can select which form you want to use. Before sending, the communication data is checked. Only those business partners with correct addresses are contacted.
If you choose Generate Bus. Act.
, a business activity is created for every single business partner.
You can use this function to generate business transactions (business activity, task, lead) for the members of your target group directly from segmentation. Different fields can be filled, depending on which transaction you selected. Transaction type, priority, and start and end dates can be entered for all three transaction types. For business activities, you can also enter an employee responsible. For leads, you can enter an employee responsible and can assign additional products.
