SAP supplies standard InfoSets covering many of the queries most useful for marketing purposes. These InfoSets can be accessed by choosing the input help for the field InfoSet in the transaction for maintaining data sources. In Customizing for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), choose Start of the navigation path Marketing Next navigation step Segmentation Next navigation step Maintain Data Sources and Attribute Lists End of the navigation path.

To define these InfoSets (for example, to view which table joins are used as data sources), use the SAP menu and choose Start of the navigation path Architecture and Technology Next navigation step ABAP Workbench Next navigation step Utilities Next navigation step SAP Query Next navigation step InfoSets End of the navigation path. Double-click on the relevant InfoSet from the list, choose Display, and on the following screen choose Join.

Business partner address for organizations

Business partner: Contact person relationships for organizations

This InfoSet can be used as two different data sources, depending on your entry in the Business Partner field in the transaction Maintain Data Sources for Segmentation.

  • Business partner: Contact person for organizations (entry in Business Partner field: BUT000_PER-PARTNER_GUID)

    Selection of business partners who are permanent or temporary contact persons for organizations.

    Possible selection criteria are: Organization: correspondence language, legal entity of organization, legal form of organization, language, industry, contact permission, business partner category.

    Business partner relationship: Validity date, department, VIP partner, decision authority and function of partner, contact person: date of birth, language, correspondence language, nationality, business partner category.

  • Business partner: Organizations with contact persons (entry in Business Partner field: BUT000-PARTNER-GUID)

    Selection of business partners of category Organization for which particular contact persons/temporary contact persons are defined. The selection criteria are the same as for InfoSet Business Partner: Contact Person Relationships for Organizations above.

CRM_MKTTG_BP_PRTFUNC

Business partner: Partner function

Depending on his or her partner function, the employee responsible (the key account manager, for example) can select those business partners for which he or she is responsible.

Filter values:

  • Partner function

    Defines the relationship between the business partner making the selection, and the business partner(s) to be selected. The business partner making the selection could, for example, be a sales representative or interaction center agent who wishes to select the business partners for which he or she is responsible.

  • Business partner number

    Number of the business partner who wishes to perform the selection.

  • Division, distribution channel, sales organization.

The business partner relationships must be correctly specified, that is, as they are defined in Customizing.

This InfoSet is not suitable for every partner function (bill-to party, for example). It is most useful for persons defined as employee responsible or contact person.

CRM_MKTTG_BP_ORG_CDE

Contact person relationships for organizations with postal code

Selection of business partners from a particular region and with a particular partner function. The selection criteria are the same as those for the InfoSet Business Partner: Postal Codes.

This InfoSet is an enhanced version of InfoSet CRM_MKTTG_BP_ORG. It makes it possible to select by place or postal code.

Partner function: Function that a person exercises within a company.

Selection for the Business Partner field in transaction Maintain Data Sources for Segmentation.

CRM_MKTTG_BP_PSTCD

CRM Marketing: Business partner by postal code

Selection by postal code, post box, or company (for large companies)

CRM_MKTTG_BP_RESPNSE

Response rate for e-mail hyperlink

Selection of business partners using the number of times a hyperlink is clicked in an e-mail with relation to a marketing campaign. The filter values themselves are user-defined.

Recommended filter values:

  • 0 – link not used at all (no response)

  • > 1 – link used (response)

  • Campaign (name/description) (can be specified as a business rule in segmentation)

This InfoSet helps you determine whether a link was used at all, and if so how often. It also enables you to break down your target groups further according to their response behavior.

Other filter values:

  • Marketing: E-mail address

    Address that appears as sender address in a marketing campaign

  • · Indicator: Test mails

    Displays whether entries in a mailing list occurred while running a communication channel test for a mail form or campaign. Enables you to exclude test mails.

  • · Indicator: Error sending mails

    This indicator is set if an error occurs when an e-mail is sent, for example if the recipient's address is incorrect. Note however, that this indicator can only be set if e-mails are sent via the SAP system's SMTP node.

  • Actual start date and end date of a marketing campaign

  • Completion percentage (campaign)

  • Name of person who created the object (campaign)

To use this InfoSet, you must activate the business function Marketing Permission (CRM_MKT_PERMISSION).

Selection of individual accounts based on the value for marketing permission. The system uses the method CL_CRM_BUPA_MKTPERM_FILTER=>APPLICABLE_ACCOUNTS (Applicable Accounts) for the check.

Note that the system also checks the existence of country-specific opt-in laws. CRMM_BUT_MKTPERM_ACC

Marketing permission for corporate accounts (classic)

To use this InfoSet, you must activate the business function Marketing Permission (CRM_MKT_PERMISSION).

Selection of corporate accounts (organizations) based on the value for marketing permission. The data source should be set up so that the result is converted from organizations to contact persons. The system uses the method CL_CRM_BUPA_MKTPERM_FILTER=>APPLICABLE_ACCOUNTS (Applicable Accounts) for the check.

Note that the system also checks the existence of country-specific opt-in laws. CRMM_BUT_MKTPERM_REL

Marketing permission for contact persons

To use this InfoSet, you must activate the business function Marketing Permission (CRM_MKT_PERMISSION).

Selection of contact persons based on the value for marketing permission, if a value has been defined. The system checks the validity of the marketing permission, using method CL_CRM_BUPA_MKTPERM_FILTER=>CHECK_CONTACT_ALLOWED_MULTIPLE.

You can use this InfoSet to remove contact persons from the selection again, if their corporate account was selected using InfoSet CRMM_BUT_MKTPERM_ACC, but contrary to their corporate account, they have not given the necessary marketing permission.

CRMM_BUT_MKTPERM_ACC_HV

Marketing permission for accounts (high-volume segmentation TREX)

This InfoSet is only relevant for segmentation with high data volume (TREX).

To use this InfoSet, you must activate the business functions Marketing Permission (CRM_MKT_PERMISSION) and High-Volume Marketing (CRM_MKT_HVS).

Selection of accounts based on the value for marketing permission. The system uses the method CL_CRM_BUPA_MKTPERM_FILTER=>APPLICABLE_ACCOUNTS (Applicable Accounts) for the check.

The system takes into account the type of the data source (person/organization) when doing this. If the user creates a data source of type Person, the InfoSet selects only individual accounts. If the user creates a data source of type Organization, the InfoSet selects only corporate accounts.

InfoSet CRMM_BUT_MKTPERM_ACC_DTA is available for delta handling.

CRMM_BUT_MKTPERM_CON_HV

Marketing permission for contact persons (high-volume segmentation TREX)

This InfoSet is only relevant for segmentation with high data volume (TREX).
