You can use the sales transactions in SAP CRM to map the business transactions in the sales area of your company. You can create and process inquiries, quotations, and sales orders.
Sales transactions in SAP CRM offer:
Order processing via different communication channels, for example the Internet or the Interaction Center
Integration of the entire sales process - from the first customer contact to order completion
Extensive information in all phases of the sales process
Automatic determination procedures for quick and accurate order entry
Creation and postprocessing of sales transactions
You can create sales transactions using either SAP CRM Web Channel or the Interaction Center, or in the CRM WebClient UI, and then postprocess them in the CRM WebClient UI. Even transactions with errors can be saved, and they are then available for further postprocessing.
Triggering further processing
As soon as a sales order is saved without errors, the transaction is transferred to SAP ERP. The subsequent logistics processes, for example delivery of the sales order, take place there.
Adapting to your business processes
Customizing for transaction types offers you numerous settings for adapting the sales transaction to the business processes in your company. You can, for example, define a special transaction type for entering sales orders in the Interaction Center.
In CRM Customizing, choose
