You can use this function to manually enter the data necessary to determine the tax rate in the sales order.

The fields for tax rate determination are hidden in the CRM WebClient UI as standard. If you want to use the fields, you must configure the CRM WebClient UI accordingly.
You have defined in Customizing whether you can change the entries for tax rate determination. For more information about this, see Customizing at
.To determine the tax rate, you can enter the country, and optionally the region, tax type, and tax group for order items in a sales order. The system offers you input help for this. The tax group is determined using the country or optionally, the region and tax type.
You can define a default value for the tax group of the product in the product master record, so that you only have to enter the country, the region, and the tax category when you create the sales order.
This way, the correct tax rate can be calculated in service parts management for external products. However, the data for the determination of the tax rate is usually delivered using EDI, and not manually entered.
If you use a dummy product for the sale of various different products in your assortment, you can enter the relevant tax data in the given sales order for one of these products, so that the tax record for it can be calculated correctly.
