Note
The following function is available for the trade promotion management business scenario.
Whether or not a working context attribute is displayed in a SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application depends on the application. Generally speaking, when you perform an advanced search, the search page receives the default attributes defined in the
working context. When you create a new object, attribute values are defaulted whenever possible. For example, you are a claims analyst and would like to set the working context so that only a certain account is available while you are working in the system. However, due to the way that working context
behaves with claims management, if you set a value for the Account
attribute in the working context, the values for the claiming account and payee in an invoice claim are defaulted only if the claiming account qualifies as a payee. This is only one example of how working
context behaves with claims management – others are provided in the following section.
The matrix below summarizes whether or not attributes specified in the working context are assigned by default in claims management applications. For example, if a product category is defined in the working context, the specified product category value appears by default when you create a claim.
