The following process takes place in SAP CRM and SAP ECC:

       2.      Enter product (SAP CRM).

You enter products requested by customers.

Note

You can configure products for every item of the quotation.

You can find more information in the business process Quotation Processing (Configure-to-Order) in CRM, and in Product Configuration in the Sales Transaction.

       3.      Check availability (SAP CRM and SAP ECC).

You can check the availability of products for every item of the quotation. You can find more information in Availability Information in Sales Orders (Using SAP ECC).

       4.      Determine and maintain conditions (SAP CRM).

The system determines the prices and the value of individual items. If necessary, you can maintain these. You can find more information under Pricing.

       5.      Send quotation to customer (SAP CRM).

You can send the quotation to the customer either electronically, or in print.

       6.      Create activity (SAP CRM).

You have the following options for monitoring the quotation:

You enter an activity for a specific time period.

You link your quotations with actions. Here you can specify the following, for example:

Shortly before the validity expires, the system should trigger the subsequent action “Create Appointment”.

A few days after the start of the validity period, a query business activity should be created in order to obtain first feedback from the customer.

Once validity has expired, the status of the quotation should be set automatically to Completed.

       7.      Monitor status of quotation (SAP CRM).

For example, you can display quotations that are relevant for you according to their validity.
