Partners in Activities 
Activities contain information about the business partners, that is, accounts, contacts and employees responsible, involved in the activity.
The business partners that you enter in the activity are important for controlling what kind of information you see within the activity. They also control in whose calendar and worklist the activities appear.
Every user who works with activities must be entered as a business partner in the system. This ensures that the system can display all the activities that he or she is involved in.
Caution
When you create the employee responsible as a business partner, you must ensure that his or her user name is entered in the business partner master data.
You can carry out the following for business partners:
Display business partner master data
Display business partner addresses
Fax, call or e-mail the business partners
Depending on how the organizational data model has been configured in your system, when you enter the business partners in the activity, the system automatically calls up the relevant organizational and address.
In the Account field, enter the name of the business partners involved in the activity, for example, the customer. For a task, you only need to enter an employee responsible for the task.
Note
The business partner types that appear are pre-defined in Customizing. Depending on your Customizing settings, the system determines the employee responsible from the sales employee assigned to the business partner, or from the user who creates the activity. If required, you can also overwrite this entry with another sales employee in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing , as well as
The Attendees assignment block allows you to specify any extra business partners.
If you have more than one partner for a certain partner function, such as two sales employees, select one as the main partner.
For the following activities, ensure that you have selected a business partner first by clicking on the relevant partner hyperlink.
Click the relevant e-mail address to send e-mails. You can also attach documents related to the activity to external recipients.
Choose Address list to select the appropriate partner address, if more than one is available.
Choose Business partner master data to display or change the master record for the partner.
