You can access the UI configuration in SAP GUI and in the CRM WebClient.

Prerequisites

  • To access the view configuration and the fact sheet configuration in your system administrator role in the CRM WebClient, you have made the necessary settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing   UI Framework   Technical Role Definition   Define Navigation Bar Profile  . The logical links BSP-DLC-VC and BSP-DLC_FC are assigned to the work center CT-ADMIN. You need to ensure that this work center is part of your administrator business role, and that the links have been set to Visible.

  • To enable the UI configuration of pages and views directly in the CRM WebClient, your user needs to be assigned to the authorization object CRMCONFMOD, and you must have activated the UI configuration mode on the central personalization page. To activate the UI configuration mode, click Personalize in the header area of your business role. Choose Personalize Settings on the Personalization page. In the Personalize Settings dialog, set the indicator Enable configuration mode.

Starting the UI Configuration in SAP GUI

In SAP GUI, the UI configuration is integrated in the BSP Component Workbench. Therefore, you need to start the BSP Component Workbench to access the UI configuration. The UI configuration is performed in the UI Configuration Tool, which you can start by using the Configuration tab. However, this tab is only activated if a view can be configured.

You can start the BSP Component Workbench including the UI configuration in the following ways:

  • In Customizing, select   Customer Relationship Management   UI Framework   UI Framework Definition   Configure User Interface  .

  • On the SAP Easy Access Customer Relationship Management screen, choose   Architecture and Technology   Configuration   Access BSP WD Workbench  .

  • Enter transaction code BSP_WD_CMPWB to access the BSP Component Workbench.

Starting the UI Configuration from the Navigation Bar

You can start the view configuration and the fact sheet configuration from the second level in your Administration work center, in the navigation bar of your administrator business role.

Starting the UI Configuration Directly from the CRM Application

You can start the view configuration and the fact sheet configuration directly from the CRM Application in the following ways:

  • You click the Show Configurable Areas icon at the top of a page, for example on the Account search page.

    The configurable areas are highlighted, and you start the configuration of the related view by clicking one of the configurable areas.

  • You click the Configure Pages icon at the top of the page, for example on the Account overview page, to configure superior views such as the Home page, work center page, and overview page.

  • You click the Configure button at the bottom of the Technical Data dialog of the F2 help, to configure the view in which you are currently located.

  • You click the fact sheet configuration and the view configuration links in the navigation bar of your system administrator role.

Displaying Technical Information

You are located in an application and want to find out the application component name and view name. You click F2 and navigate to the Technical Data dialog.

Example Example

You are located on the Account search page and want to configure the search criteria. To find out the application component name and view name, you click the empty entry field in the first row of the search criteria. This is the third field in the row in which you search for Name 1/Last Name. You click F2 and navigate to the Technical Data dialog, which says that the application component is BP_HEAD_SEARCH and the view is MainSearch.

Activities

In the following text, you will find a description of how to start the UI configuration integrated in the BSP Component Workbench.

  1. Enter the transaction code BSP_WD_CMPWB.

    You see the page Access BSP WD Workbench.

    Note Note

    You can show or hide the field Enhancement Set using the icon to the left of the Component field. An enhancement set is a parenthesis around multiple enhancements of an application component.

  2. Click Display.

    You see the standard structure view of the chosen application component.

  3. Expand the Views node under Browser Component Structure.

  4. Double-click the view that you want to edit.

  5. Click Configuration.

    The view's configuration is displayed.
