Scenario

SAP creates an object and transports the version of the object to the Customer repository. Now, both the SAP and the Customer repositories have the same baseline version of the object.

...

       1.      SAP transports original version V1 to the Customer repository.

       2.      In the Customer repository, the technical consultant enhances the original version V1based on customer specific requirements and releases the change list .Since SAP owns the object, the changes for the open version V1a are made in a side branch.

       3.      Now, SAP transfers the ownership of object to the Customer repository.

Analysis

As a rule, the baseline of the object cannot reside on the side branch in the repository, which owns the object. In this case, since SAP has transferred the ownership of the object to the Customer repository, the baseline version cannot reside on a side branch. Hence, a collision occurs when the version on the side branch is released.
