Process documentation Transfer of Baseline Sales Quantity Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

You can calculate the baseline sales quantity in SAP SCM, transfer it to SAP BW using SAP SEM-BPS and then display it in an enhanced planning layout in SAP SEM-BPS, which is embedded on the Trade Spends/Volumes tab page in the SAP CRM Marketing Planner.

Note

If you do not calculate the baseline sales quantity in SAP SCM, you can also load this data as external data in SAP BW or manually fill the appropriate column for the enhanced planning layout.

The following steps are necessary for transferring the baseline sales quantity from SAP SCM.

Process Flow

        1.      In the SAP SCM Business Information Warehouse, create the master info cube APO Output (TPMAPOOUT), which contains the following info objects.

                             a.      Characteristics: APO Planning version (9AVERSION), APO Product (9AMATNR), APO Location (9ALOCNO)

                             b.      Time Characteristics: Calendar/Week (0CALWEEK) (optional: Calendar Year/Month (0CALMONTH))

                             c.      Key figures: Supply Plan (Basis) (9ASPLANB) (optional: Supply Plan (Promo) (9ASPLANP), Supply Plan (Total) (9ASPLANT))

                             d.      Units: Unit of measure (0UNIT)

        2.      Make the baseline sales quantity available in the APO Output InfoCube (TPMAPOOUT).

        3.      In SAP SEM-BPS maintain the attributes for the planning areas as follows:

                             a.      Planning area CP: APO Baseline (4TPM6000)

In the RFC Connection field, enter the SCM system that contains the InfoCube APO Output (TPMAPOOUT).

In the InfoCube field, enter the InfoCube APO Output (TPMAPOOUT).

                             b.      Planning area CP: TPM Baseline (4TPM7000)

In the RFC Connection field, enter the BW system that contains the InfoCubeBaseline Sales Quantity (0CP_SLSC9).

In the InfoCube field, enter the InfoCube Baseline Sales Quantity (0CP_SLSC9).

        4.      In SAP SEM-BPS you maintain the version and value type in the planning function Return Planning Data (4TPM5111) to suit your needs.

        5.      In SAP SEM-BPS execute the planning function Return Planning Data (4TPM5111) in the planning area APO Integration: APO ® SEM (4TPM5000).

This planning function is in planning profile CP: Sales Planning with Promotions (4TPM0001).

        6.      The system transfers the baseline sales quantity from the InfoCube APO Output (TPMAPOOUT) to the InfoCube Baseline Sales Quantity (0CP_SLSC9).

Result

If you chose a suitable planning profile group (for example, 4TPM or 4TPF) when creating the trade promotion in the Marketing Planner, you can display the baseline sales quantity in the enhanced planning layouts on the Trade Spends/Volumes tab page and this enables you to plan, for example, the uplift quantity.
