Process documentation Super User Management Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

You can use this business process to create and edit customer superusers or Internet users via a web based interface.

In the process as it is outlined here, a web shop manager on the vendor side maintains the data of the customer super users, who are employees of various customer companies. The customer superuser can use web based user administration to maintain the user records of the internet users within their company.

For further information, see Structure linkUser Management.

Prerequisites

·        You have installed User Administration.

·        You have created a user with the role Web Shop Manager (see Structure linkCreate Web Shop Manager), who has authority to process superuser master records.

·        If you are using a portal, you have implemented the necessary portal environment (see Structure linkPortal Support).

Process Flow

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

       1.      Log on to user administration (SAP CRM)

...

The Web shop manager calls the User Administration service.

       2.      Maintain superuser data (SAP CRM)

The Web Shop Manager edits all of the data required to create a superuser master record, such as address data, user ID, e-mail address and sold-to party.

The e-mail address must be defined so that an e-mail notification containing the user ID and a generated initial password can be sent to this address after the superuser master record has been generated.

The sold-to party for whom the superuser works must be specified. The superuser can thereby only create, change, lock or delete Internet users for the companies which are assigned to him.

       3.      Assign roles (SAP CRM)

The Web shop manager also has to assign a role to the created user. There are two standard roles available:

¡        Superuser

As a superuser, the created user can create other superusers or Internet users.

¡        Internet user

The created user can perform the order process in B2B Internet Sales.

       4.      System creates user master record (SAP CRM)

When you save the superuser master record in the CRM System, the system creates the following:

¡        An SU01 user

¡        A business partner master record in the Contact Person role

¡        A relationship Is Contact Person of for the assigned company (sold-to party)

       5.      System automatically sends initial password to the maintained mail address

The superuser receives an e-mail with the user ID and his initial password.

       6.      Log on to User Administration (Web Application)

The customer superuser can log on to web-based user management once he has received the access data.

       7.      Maintain user data

The superuser can now create new superusers or internet users for the companies for which he is authorized. Additionally, he can perform the following activitites in web based user management:

                            a.      Assign roles

The superuser must assign a role to the created user. There are two standard roles available

§         Superuser

The created user can create other superusers or Internet users.

§         Internet user

The created user can order products in B2B Internet Sales.

                            b.      Change user data

                            c.      Lock and unlock users

These changes become effective immediately in the SU01 user master records.

                            d.      Reset password

The new password is automatically sent to the user via e-mail.

       8.      System updates user master record (SAP CRM)

When the superuser saves the user master record in the web application, the CRM system updates the relevant data in the user master record.

       9.      System sends new password automatically to the maintained mail address (SAP CRM)

When the superuser has updated the internet user data the internet users are informed via e-mail. This e-mail contains the user ID and the generated new password of the internet user.
