Sales Management for Residential
Customers
The business scenario Sales Management for Residential Customers supports the integration for utility contracts between SAP CRM and SAP IS-U. Two different cases arise here. The first case deals with a typical retail model, which allows companies entering the deregulated market for the first time to sell utility contracts outside of its own grid. This case does not require the technical device installation, but requires only device info records. The two scenario variants Sales Management for Residential Customers (single contract model) and Sales Management for Residential Customers (dual contract model) apply here.
The second case deals with utility companies that put an emphasis on the customer retention in their own grid area. Here, the existing technical data from a connected IS-U system is made available in a CRM system through an initial download. This case is based on the scenario variants Sales Management for Residential Customers (single contract model with devices) and Sales Management for Residential Customers (dual contract model with devices.
This variant describes sales process integration between SAP IS-U and SAP CRM for utility contracts in utility companies who are only using device info records from SAP IS-U device management (this means that technical installation of devices in the system is not assumed here). This ensures that utility contracts in SAP CRM are synchronized with those in SAP IS-U.

This variant describes sales process integration between SAP IS-U and SAP CRM for utility contracts in utility companies who are only using device info records from SAP IS-U device management and have implemented a dual contract model (supply/grid usage). This ensures that utility contract items in SAP CRM are synchronized with those in SAP IS-U.
