Basic Data in Campaigns
The following data can be entered for a campaign on the Basic Data tab page:
·
Campaign
type/objectives/tactics
The campaign type defines the type of campaign or promotion and is used to
help categorize individual campaigns or trade promotions (for example,
telephone or e-mail campaigns). The campaign
type is one of the attributes of a campaign which can be used to compare the
success rate of different campaigns. There are no restrictions to the number
or category of campaign types you may define.
For example, you can create the campaign type "KMP01" with description
"Internet Campaign".
You can also create and assign objectives specifically for this campaign type
and/or create pairs of objectives and tactics for this campaign
type.
·
Priority
You can assign a priority for the campaign and also a second priority for
generating activities. This is taken into account when you send an activity to
the Interaction Center.
·
Authorization groups
You can define which users are entitled to change which marketing elements.
For information on the types of authorization available, see
Authorizations in
Marketing Planning and Campaign Management.
·
Planning
profile group
Planning
profile groups contain one or more planning profiles. By assigning them to a
marketing plan or campaign, you are then able to use the corresponding
planning profile from SEM-BPS. You also make this setting if you want to use
the ‘traffic lights’ or KPI alerts.
Once you have made an entry in
this field in the PCUI, it is write-protected and cannot be changed. If you
wish to change the data, select Reset Planning Profile Group at the top
of the tab page. This clears all the related planning data and you can enter a
new planning profile group in the field.
·
Person
responsible
Here you can enter the business partner responsible for a campaign. There is
also a Partner tab page where you can enter more precise business
partner details.
·
Territory
ID
This field is validated against the Person Responsible field. This
means that the territories that you can define are dependent on the person
responsible.
The territory assigned will have an impact on product assignment. You will
only be able to assign products that are valid for a particular
territory.
·
Campaign code
The campaign ID is used
to encode the campaign as a product order number. See the Customizing activity
Customer Relationship Management -> CRM Cross-Application Components
-> Global Settings for Product Order Numbers.
·
Currency
Here you can define the
currency used in promotion planning. The currency is defaulted from the user
organization data for a campaign or marketing plan. You can change the
currency here, however, if you need to use another currency other than the
defaulted one.
If the currency is defined in the SEM planning profile, then this currency is not
used.
·
Dates
You can enter the dates for your campaign. You also have the option of
entering additional dates, for example, the dates for buying in stock for a
campaign. These can be defined in Customizing for Marketing Planning under
Basic Data -> Define Additional Date Ranges.
·
Status
Here you can enter the
status of your campaign. For information on status profiles, see Status
Management.
In addition to the aforementioned information, you can maintain the following basic data in CRM Enterprise:
·
No R/3
transfer
You set this indicator if you do not want the campaign to be transferred to
R/3 for cost planning.
·
Action
profile
You can assign
an action profile to the marketing project. The purpose of this action profile
is to define an action (such as sending an email message or sending a fax) and
its application context (campaign, trade promotion). Depending on the
application context, you can define schedule conditions (whether the action is
scheduled) and start conditions (whether the action is executed). These
conditions are based on values from the application context, such as priority
and planned start date.
You define the actions in Customizing for Marketing Planning and Campaign
Management under Change Actions ->
Define Action Profiles and Actions and then define the conditions in Define Conditions. Once you have made
these settings in Customizing, you can assign an action profile to a campaign
in the Marketing Planner. These actions are triggered via the Services for
Object toolbar at the top of the screen. Here you can select the
Action icon.
·
Factory
calendar
Here you can enter the factory calendar to be taken into account in your
planning. For example, if your campaign is in Germany, you can enter the
factory calendar for Germany with all of the public holidays in
Germany.
· You maintain basic data for campaigns in the Marketing/Details tile set.
· You can assign a sales area for the campaign.
· The Ext. indicator identifies whether or not the campaign has been created in CRM Enterprise. The system automatically sets this indicator as appropriate.
· In Mobile Sales, you can assign planning profiles groups to campaigns only, as there are no marketing plans available in the application.
· Mobile Sales does not display ‘traffic lights,’ or KPI alerts, for planning profile groups.
