Type of Shipping 

Definition

The type of shipping defines how the content required to exploit the IP right is made available for publication.

You provide the content to the licensee as a live program or as a tape.

 

Use

You record the type of shipping in the IP master data. The type of shipping (along with the available languages and ship-from location) is part of the IP shipping data, which you use in the IP master record to describe the characteristics of the physical material, which has been provided to exploit the right sold.

 You maintain this data if the associated material is not to be represented separately as a product of the material type in the system.

If a shipping type has been defined as a default value in the IP master data, this is entered in the contract as a default value automatically.
