Key Figure Planning in the Marketing Planner

Key
figure planning from SAP BW/SEM is fully integrated with CRM 4.0 to allow you
to do all your planning using the Marketing Planner as a basis. You have the
option of carrying out key figure planning using an ALV grid or Excel sheet.
Alternatively you can carry out your planning in HTML. This option gives you
additional features, allowing you to synchronize dates, products, target
groups, sales organizations, customers, success measures, trade spends, EEW
enhancements and currencies. This can all be done directly from the Marketing
Planner.
In the Marketing Planner, you have the following features:

Traffic light status. This is a means by which you
can show the status of a trade promotion or campaign in the form of a red,
green or yellow light. The traffic lights can be seen underneath the
description of the trade promotion or campaign in the Marketing Planner.
Once you have made the relevant settings in Customizing (see
Prerequisites), you will be able to see the KPI evaluations for alerts
in the Marketing Planner. Note that they must be defined in an advance layout
and not defined in a planning profile.
The alerts are refreshed when you save or on request. You can refresh the
status after any changes by selecting the Refresh icon to the left of
the traffic lights.

There are five tab pages for key figure planning in
the Marketing Planner; Key Figures or
KeyFigPlanning if you are using the old Excel or ALV version of key
figure planning,
Success Key
Figures,
Trade
Spends/Volumes,
Costs and
Analyses.
To use key figure planning, you need to have completed the following settings in Customizing:
· Customer Relationship Management ® Marketing ® Marketing Planning and Campaign Management ® Key Figure Planning
· To use the HTML key figure planning, you need to set the indicator New KPI Flag in the activity Define Planning Profile Group. Once you have set this indicator, you can use the Key Figures tab page which has a HTML format. You can also use the tab pages Success Key Figures, Trade Spends/Volumes, Costs and Analyses. If you do not set this indicator, the tab pages Success Key Figures, Trade Spends/Volumes and Costs are not available and the KeyFigPlanning tab page will be available allowing you to use ALV or Excel formats for your planning.
· Note that in the above activity you can assign your planning profile group to a specific object category (trade promotion, campaign, marketing plan or deal). If none is specified, then the planning profile will be available for all object categories.
· You can also assign multiple planning profiles of the same type, for example, volume/trade spends to enable you to have different views of the same planning data.
· You need to maintain the Customizing activity Integration with Other mySAP.com Components ® Strategic Enterprise Management ® Change Mapping Between CRM Fields and InfoObjects. This activity sets up integration between SAP CRM and the CRM planning applications in SAP SEM. You can overwrite the standard entries using this activity by assigning different InfoObjects to a field.
