Function documentation Data Exchange for Opportunities: CRM Online – CRM Mobile Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can create opportunities in both CRM Online, and in the CRM Mobile Sales application, this means that opportunities can be processed in the office, and on a laptop during a customer visit, for example. Opportunities are exchanged between both systems via Structure linkCRM Middleware.

As the Opportunity Management functionality is not available in R/3, no data is transferred to the R/3 System.

Prerequisites

You use CRM Online and CRM Mobile Sales, and have also maintained Customizing for Opportunity Management in the CRM Online System.

Customizing settings in CRM Online for Opportunity Management are transferred via Middleware to the Mobile Sales application and interpreted there accordingly.
Individual exceptions form special attributes that you can store in CRM Mobile for the partner function types "Partner" (attribute: authority), and "Competitor" (attribute: result). These attributes are only visible in CRM Mobile Sales, and are only maintained in the Mobile System Maintenance application.

Features

All opportunities are exchanged between CRM Online and CRM Mobile. Even incomplete documents and documents containing errors are exchanged. In CRM Online, these documents are given the status contains errors, in CRM Mobile they get the flag CRM incomplete.

Texts that you create in CRM Online at header level on the Targets tab page are exchanged with CRM Mobile and can be found there under Notes. Texts that you create at item level (Product information tab page) in CRM Online, are also exchanged with CRM Mobile and can be found there under Items: Notes.

All partners (for example, competitors, sales team and so on) are exchanged between CRM Online and CRM Mobile and can be processed on the appropriate tab page. Settings made in Customizing for CRM Online for partner processing, provide the basis for this.
Partners, that are assigned in CRM Online to the Responsible partner function type are taken over at header level in CRM Mobile as Responsible employee.

Attachments to an opportunity, for example Word documents or presentations, cannot be exchanged between systems at present. This will be possible at a later release.

Differences/ limitations to function and field levels

The following differences at field and function level exist at between CRM Online and CRM Mobile at present:

As sales methodology has only been realized in CRM Online at the moment, texts and information that you create for partners in project organizational structures are not exchanged with CRM Mobile. However, all activities that you have created using the sales assistant in CRM Online, are transferred to CRM Mobile and are linked there to the opportunity.
As opportunity assessment within the framework of the sales methodology is only available in CRM Online, the chance of success, calculated based on the opportunity assessment (calculated by the system), is not provided in CRM Mobile.
The complete sales methodology will be available at a later release in CRM Mobile.

Unlike in CRM Online, it is not possible in CRM Mobile to switch to product configuration for configurable products. Configurable products in CRM Mobile are flagged as configured in CRM Mobile.

The Phases history function in CRM Online shows the sequence of phases, the start date and the length of time in days, required for each phase. This function is not available in CRM Mobile at present.

Times can only be exchanged between CRM Online and CRM Mobile at present. A duration cannot be transferred to CRM Mobile at the moment. This will be possible at a later release.

You have the option in CRM Online to make entries regarding the budget of sales prospects; this option is not provided in CRM Mobile at present. It will be available at a later release.

In CRM Mobile, you can set the inactive flag for a person in the sales team, for example if this person is only sometimes available. This flag does not exist in CRM Online.

In CRM Mobile, it is possible to set the reference flag for an opportunity at header level, for example when referring to a reference customer or a reference project. This flag does not exist in CRM Online.
