Product Proposals for Non-Business
Partners
Product proposals are an efficient means for increasing sales figures. You can use this function to display cross-/up-/down- selling to an unknown visitor to a Web shop as soon as they specify their interests and thereby enter the required attribute values for the product proposals. Without having to become a business partner, unknown visitors receive an immediate product proposal tailored to their interests, increasing the probability that they will become business partners.
If these unknown visitors do not immediately decide to purchase a product, but visit the Web shop again at a later date, they can be recognized and then receive the appropriate product proposals again. Recognition of the visitor is performed using cookies, which save anonymous users with their attribute values as a unique key.
The product proposals for non-business partners are integrated with the Web shop functionality in SAP Internet Sales.
You have defined a Method Schema.
You have created Product Association Rules and assigned them to a profile.
· Product proposals upon an unknown visitor’s first visit to the Web shop
If an unknown user visits the Web shop and enters his/her attribute values (for example age, interests, and so on), these are saved with a unique key and stored on the client in the form of a cookie. Using the profile that meets the user criteria, the system then displays the corresponding product proposals.

The prerequisite for this is that the user accepts cookies.
· Product proposals upon a repeat visit to the Web shop
When the unknown user returns to the Web shop, and can be identified by means of the cookie, the attribute values can be loaded. In this way, the product proposals initially displayed can be generated again. If the user changes the attribute values, these changes are saved with the unique key.
· Product proposals after the unknown user has become a business partner
If, on the return visit, the unknown user decides to register and purchase the product, the attribute values entered as an unknown user can be transferred to the newly created business partner.
· Deleting unknown users
For reasons of performance, the data for unknown users should be deleted at regular intervals if those unknown users have not changed their data after a certain period. To this end, we have provided a deletion report that can you can call from the CRM menu, under Marketing ® Tools ® Expert Tools ® Product Proposals ® Deletion Report for Unknown Users that Are No Longer Required.
