Definition

A request from the customer to the enterprise to deliver a certain amount of products at a certain time, or to provide services by a certain time. A sales area accepts the customer and is therefore responsible for fulfilling the contract.

Integration

A sales order is a sales transaction, that is, a transaction type with the business transaction category Sales.

You make the settings for the individual transaction types in Customizing. Menu path: Customer Relationship Management ® Transactions ® Basic Settings ® Define Transaction Types.
