Purpose

You can use this business scenario process to carry out a campaign in the field. On your laptop, you have access to information about the campaign, such as its objectives, target customers, and planned activities. You perform the activities assigned to the campaign during your visits to customer sites. By maintaining these activities in the system, you are able to monitor your progress in executing the campaign.

Process Flow

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

...

       1.      System replicates data (CRM Server)

The system replicates the information pertaining to the campaign, such as its products, target customers, and validity dates, from SAP CRM Enterprise.

       2.       Synchronize data (CRM Mobile)

By synchronizing with the server, you load campaign-related data to your laptop so that you can work with the data offline, for example, while you visit customer sites. For information on synchronizing your data, see Options for Server Synchronization.

       3.      Check campaign data (CRM Mobile)

Perform a search to call up the campaign and display the details of the campaign  in the Marketing/Details tile set. For more information on how to do a search in SAP CRM Mobile Sales, see Performing a Search.

Alternatively, you can also retrieve the campaign in the marketing calendar by launching a query and accessing the campaign-related details from the context menu. For more information, see Marketing Calendar, Creating a Query, and Context Menus.

Check the campaign details to inform yourself of the campaign’s purpose and goals, such as its type and objective, sales area, progress, and relevant dates. Update the campaign details, if necessary. For more information about campaign-related details, see Basic Data in Campaigns.

       4.      Perform activities (CRM Mobile)

To execute the campaign in the field, you carry out the activities that are assigned to the campaign. You can view these activities in the Marketing/Activities tile set. By choosing the hyperlink for the activity description, you navigate to view the details of the activity. For information on working with activities in SAP CRM Mobile Sales, see Field Activity Management with Mobile Sales.

       5.      Maintain activities (CRM Mobile)

You maintain the details of each activity you perform for the campaign. To close a campaign-related activity, you set the activity’s status to reflect its completion.

You can view activities that are yet to be completed in the Activities/Open Task List tile set. By selecting the hyperlink for the activity you can navigate to its details. See Navigating: More Options.

You can create an activity report to monitor your progress in completing the activities of the campaign.

       6.      Synchronize data (CRM Mobile)

Synchronize your laptop with the server to load the data to SAP CRM Enterprise. For more information on synchronizing your data, see Options for Server Synchronization.
