Definition

The logical unit of channel inventory that comprises the unsold stock of your product with your channel partner sold to the channel partner at a particular price, or within a price band.

Use

Organizing the channel inventory into price buckets provides you with:

·        Information on how much stock sold to the channel partner at a given price is still available for resale.

You can also obtain the history of transactions that changed the available quantity in the price bucket, and thereby track changes in your channel inventory.

·        Transparency in performing ship-and-debit claim processing and price protection.

Structure

·        Header carries information on the product, price, available quantity, creation date, and so on.

·        History records information on each transaction that affected the price bucket, including the change(s) it caused to the Header data. This information includes change date, transaction type, change in quantity, and so on.

Integration

All price buckets together constitute the channel inventory.
