Assigning Target Groups 
If you are carrying out a marketing activity, you need to assign a target group that you wish to address.
In CRM Enterprise, target groups are created in the Segment Builder. For more information on how to do this, see Target Groups.
You can also create target groups in Mobile Sales. The system loads the target groups to CRM Enterprise when you synchronize your data. For more information on how to create target groups in Mobile Sales, see Generating a Target Group.
In CRM Enterprise, once you have created your target group, you can assign it to a marketing plan, campaign or trade promotion.
In the SAP GUI you assign a target group as follows:

· Select the marketing element and then right-click with the mouse and choose Assign -> Segment or go directly to the tab page Segments.
· Choose the F4 help in the field Description. You can then choose to assign a profile, profile set, or target group.
In the People-Centric UI you assign a target group as follows:
· On the Target Groups tab page, choose Add Entry. You will get a similar pop-up where you choose a profile, profile set, or target group.
In Mobile Sales, your target group is automatically assigned to your campaign or trade promotion through the selections you make. You can also assign a target group to a campaign or trade promotion by importing it from another marketing activity as follows:
· In the Target Group Details tile set on the Target Groups tile, choose the Import button to open search dialog window.

By selecting the Export button, you can export your target group and then import it for another campaign or trade promotion.
· Enter the search criteria and perform a search.
· From the search result list select a target group. You can assign a name to the target group in the Target Group Description dialog box.
· In the Target Group Details tile set, choose Save to assign the target group to the campaign or trade promotion.
