Price Determination for List Prices

Use

Prices and pricing scales that are to apply to all customers can be determined directly out of the condition tables. This function applies to the replication onto the Index server, as well as for XML Export. See: Initial Replication of Product Catalog Contents and Maintain Export Profile

Integration

Price determination generally takes place using the Internet Pricing and Configurator (IPC). Price determination for list prices is maintained in the product catalog.

Select the field Read from Index (list price) under Controlling Catalog Price Determination, if you want to display list prices in the Web shop.

See Controlling Price Determination for more information.

Features

Price determination takes place during initial replication. All planned changes are activated when change replication takes place.

We recommend that you plan the change replication at least once a day using the COM_PCAT_IMS_FEED_UPDA report.

Activities

Maintain the Condition Type and Condition Table in Parameters for List Prices in the product catalog. Set the same currency and unit of measure for prices as they are to appear in the Web shop and during the XML export of the product catalog. No conversion takes place. Converting only takes place when the IPC is used.

You can only maintain condition and condition tables in catalog variants that contain the product or product groups as a partial key.

See the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) Customer Relationship Management ® Basic Functions® Pricing ® Condition Types

You can create as many combinations of condition types and condition tables in the product catalog as you wish, but only price type ‘A’ (list price) is shown in the Web shop as standard.
