Tasks to do Before Servicing an Equipment 

Purpose

Use this process to perform the required tasks before servicing an equipment. This is the last preparation by the service technician before actually visiting the customer.

Prerequisites

Make sure that the data synchronization between the Middleware Server and the Mobile Service Client is done.

Process Flow

  1. Identify the service tasks on the list of service documents. Each service document may contain one or more service tasks to be executed.
  2. Check if the equipment is covered under any service contract. One equipment can be covered under many service contacts. The service contract gives information on contract details, contract items and additional conditions.
  3. If required, re-schedule the service notification by changing the date and time.
  4. Sometimes, only a rough date without time information is scheduled, especially in the case of maintenance orders. You can then re-schedule the notification.

  5. If you have re-scheduled the service notification, upload it to the R/3 System.

The re-scheduling of service notification could have an effect on the dispatching of service documents in the R/3 System. Hence, an immediate upload to the R/3 System is required.
